A wind chill warning issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect through 9 a.m. Wednesday for northwestern Ohio, as frigid temperatures and gusty winds continue.
Hancock, Putnam, Henry and Seneca counties are under Level 2 snow emergencies. Wood County is still under a Level 3 snow emergency, while Wyandot County is now at a Level 1 snow advisory.
A low temperature of about 1 degree is expected tonight, with wind chills as low as minus 17.
Relief from the bitter cold temperatures is on the way, with high temperatures in the upper 30s predicted by Friday, and in the low 40s Saturday and Sunday.
