Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash today.
Alexis Connolly, 21, of Kenton, was driving about 12:14 a.m. when she slowed to turn right from U.S. 68 northbound onto Jackson Township 172, according to Deputy Barry Turner of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Connolly’s 2004 Honda four-door vehicle was struck from behind by David Grames, 51, of Grand Rapids, in a 2000 Western Star dump truck, according to Turner.
Hanco Ambulance transported Connolly and two others in her vehicle to Blanchard Valley Hospital, according to Turner. The Sheriff’s Office did not identify the other occupants.
All motorists wore a seat belt, according to the deputy.
Grames was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead. He was uninjured, according to the office.
Connolly’s vehicle was heavily damaged and towed by Lowery’s Towing. Arlington Volunteer Fire Department also assisted, according to Turner.
