The Columbus Grove Fire Department responded to a house fire at 7736 Road P, Columbus Grove, early this morning.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 911 call was received from a resident at 5:03 a.m. The caller said there was heavy smoke coming from the upstairs of the two-story residence. All occupants of the home were able to escape quickly and safely, the sheriff’s office reports.
The Ottawa, Pandora, Glandorf and Bluffton fire departments provided mutual aid. Also assisting at the scene were Putnam County and Pandora emergency medical services, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, American Electric Power and the Putnam County chapter of the American Red Cross.
Units were still on the scene as of 7:50 a.m. The cause is still under investigation. A total damage estimate has not yet been determined. There were no injuries, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department reports.
