Crash near Forest injures 2

FOREST — A crash Friday sent two Forest residents to the hospital.

Vicki Rowe, 45, was driving a Kia Sorento north on Ohio 37 at about 3:58 p.m. when a tractor-trailer turned in front of her from the U.S. 30 exit ramp, according to Deputy Steven Lowery of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Rowe swerved to avoid hitting the truck, but struck a guardrail, Lowery reported.

Rowe and a passenger, Shantell Rowe, 16, were taken by private vehicle to Blanchard Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, according to Lowery.

The truck driver, Mustafa Imad-Khaleel Al-Najjar of Dearborn, Mich., was uninjured. He was cited for a right of way when turning left violation, Lowery said.

The State Highway Patrol and Lowery’s Towing assisted at the accident scene.
