Christopher E. Press has resigned as president of the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay, and Bluffton Hospital.
His resignation was confirmed today by Scott Malaney, CEO of the Blanchard Valley Health System. Malaney did not disclose the reason for Press’ departure, and Press could not be reached for comment.
“During his 10 years with Blanchard Valley Health System, Chris was instrumental in our growth and development,” said Malaney. “He was a key contributor who helped us lead, plan and construct our Donnell Patient Pavilion, as well as being instrumental in our efforts to continually improve clinical and service quality.”
“I believe that Chris’ contributions will have a lasting benefit to our organization and within our community. He will be missed at BVHS, and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” stated board Chairman Duane Jebbett.
Press has been connected with the Blanchard Valley Health System for about 10 years as a consultant and as president. He came to the hospital full-time in 2009 after being a professor at Emory University and a partner in a health care consulting firm in Atlanta. He was also a vice president of an Atlanta hospital and of the Franciscan Health System of Cincinnati.
