Toledo man’s body found in truck in Findlay

The body of a missing Toledo man was discovered in a parked truck in the McDonald’s parking lot at 731 W. Trenton Ave. on Friday.

Findlay police said foul play did not appear to be involved.

Brian Domanski, 39, also known as Shaggy, was last heard from on his father’s birthday on Jan. 3, WTOL television reported.

Toledo’s ABC 13 station said Domanski lived in Toledo, but commuted to work in Columbus Grove and had an apartment in Ottawa for his job.

When he didn’t hear from his son for more than a week, Domanski’s father, Dan, reported him missing to Toledo police on Jan. 13.

Friends and family used social media to seek help from the public in finding Brian Domanski. Dan Domanski and his wife searched for their son, and spotted his truck Friday afternoon in a parking lot near the McDonald’s on Trenton Avenue, ABC reported. He was slumped at the wheel, ABC said.

Findlay police responded at 3:35 p.m. and discovered a deceased male.

Initial reports did not indicate foul play, and the body was sent to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office to determine cause of death, police said.

The case is under investigation and pending autopsy results.

A funeral is scheduled for next Saturday in Blissfield, Mich.
