Findlay High School wins state constitutional law competition

Findlay High School was named the state champion for a constitutional law competition.

Findlay High School students competed in the “We The People: The Citizen and the Constitution” competition in Columbus this past weekend with nearly 150 other schools.

Findlay High School will represent Ohio in the national competition from April 26 to April 28 at George Mason University, just outside Washington D.C., according to the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education.

The competition took the form of simulated congressional hearings at the statehouse in which students, college professors, county common pleas court judges and state legislators debated the constitution.

Some other Ohio schools that participated include Archbold High School in Fulton County and Van Wert High School in Van Wert County, according to the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education.
