This morning’s frigid weather came close to breaking the record low temperature in Findlay for Jan. 28, but fell short, according to Findlay’s Water Pollution Control Center.
The lowest recorded temperature was minus 12, recorded at 6 a.m. The record for Jan. 28 is minus 13, set in 1963.
The National Weather Service’s weather observations at Findlay Airport reported a low of minus 14 degrees at 7:53 a.m., which would have broken the record. However, temperature records for the city are kept at the Water Pollution Control Center and based off of their observations.
