A Level 3 snow emergency will remain in effect for the next few hours, according to a 9 a.m. update from Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman.
Major Hancock County roads and state routes are passable, but they are snow-covered and very slippery. Deputies reported 25 to 30 mph as being the maximum travel speed under current conditions.
Rural roadways are hazardous, with drifting snow in many places leaving some roads impassable.
Findlay streets were reported to be in better condition than the county roads, as they were not as subjected to the wind and blowing/drifting snow.
