The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for northwestern Ohio until noon today.
An overnight low of minus 8 degrees and wind chills as low as minus 22 were predicted by the weather service.
Those who must be outdoors should dress warmly, making sure all exposed skin is covered. If possible, the weather service advises avoiding prolonged exposure to the cold to prevent frostbite and hypothermia.
Today’s high temperature is expected to be 12 degrees, with a low Friday night of minus 2 and wind chills as low as minus 12.
