UPDATE: Van Buren man hurt in snowmobile accident

VAN BUREN — A Van Buren snowmobile driver was hospitalized after being struck by another snowmobile at 7:24 p.m. Sunday in a field off Hancock County 140, north of Portage Township 107, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Derol George, 27, was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Toledo’s Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, which had no information on his condition late Sunday night.
According to the sheriff’s office, George’s snowmobile went over a small hill in the field, became airborne and landed, ejecting the driver.
Derol George then was run over a second snowmobile operated by his brother, Derek George, 33, of Alvada.
The crash remained under investigation Sunday night.
A third snowmobiler in this group who was not involved in the crash — Christopher Bowman, 40, of Findlay, — was arrested for driving while under the influence, according to the sheriff’s office.
Assisting at the scene were Allen Township Fire Department, Hanco Ambulance and Dick’s Towing.
