Mayor’s office: Minor flood risk later this week

With rain and higher temperatures in the forecast, Findlay’s mayoral office is warning residents of possible minor flooding later this week.

The combination could lead to some “minor flooding,” according to the mayor’s office. The mayor’s office also warned of possible power outages and basement flooding in a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon.

The Blanchard River’s height is forecast to reach a peak of about 4.7 feet, well below flood stage, between Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service warns people to take action once water reaches 8 feet and warns of flooding at 11 feet.
