Commissioners to vote on Findlay annexation

Hancock County’s commissioners are expected to vote Tuesday to approve a petition that would annex 276 acres from Marion Township to Findlay.

The petition was delivered to the commissioner’s office late Wednesday.

The property is owned by George H. and Camille A. Ranzau, 6144 Hancock County 18, Findlay, and William Jaqua, 1717 Windsor Place, Findlay.

The City of Findlay and Marion Township have already approved a revenue sharing agreement for the property. Under the agreement, the city will pay Marion Township 1.5 mill in taxes from the assessed value of the property.

The commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in their first-floor meeting room at 514 S. Main St.
