A two-vehicle collision at a Findlay intersection Thursday night injured both drivers, and one was then arrested on a felony charge of drunken driving, Findlay police reported.
The drivers, Ray A. Nye, 45, of Hancock County, and Richard Gold, 70, of Findlay, were both taken by Hanco Ambulance to Blanchard Valley Hospital, police said.
Nye was later charged with a felony count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, plus driving under suspension, police said. He was being held Thursday night in the Hancock County jail.
The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Blanchard and East Sandusky streets, police reported.
Nye was driving a 2002 Buick LeSabre south on Blanchard Street when he ran a red light and collided in the intersection with a car driven by Gold, police said.
The Buick then continued south, went off the road and hit two American Electric Power poles, breaking off one pole and cracking the other, police reported.
There was a power outage in the area, and AEP was working Thursday night to replace the poles.
