Drug arrest made on South Main Street

An Alger man was arrested for drug possession early today after a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Main Street.

The Findlay Police Department requested assistance from a Hancock County Sheriff’s deputy and his K9 partner after stopping Joseph E. Erbe, 33, at 12:33 a.m. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, police said, prompting a search.

The search uncovered over a pound of marijuana, Suboxone and numerous Oxycodone pills.

Erbe was charged with possession of marijuana, a fifth-degree felony; possession of a schedule II drug, also a fifth-degree felony; and possession of a schedule III drug, a first-degree misdemeanor.

He is being held at the Hancock County Justice Center.
