Voters still have time to return absentee ballots

Voters who are still holding on to absentee ballots still have time to return them, according to Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted.

Completed absentee ballots may be dropped off by voters at their county board of elections through the close of the polls on Tuesday. Absentee ballots may not be returned at polling locations.

Absentee ballots being sent by mail must be postmarked by today and received no later than May 16.

Absentee voting for military and overseas voters began on March 22, and on April 1 for all other voters.

Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for primary races for statewide and local candidates, as well as for state and local ballot issues.
