UPDATED: West Sandusky Street, Western Avenue intersection reopens

After two weeks of work on railroad crossing repairs, the intersection of West Sandusky Street and Western Avenue in Findlay has reopened this evening.

The intersection had been closed since May 19 so that crews could replace two crossings operated by Norfolk Southern. Additional work was completed along West Sandusky Street between the crossings and Glessner Avenue, with crews replacing curbs.

However, construction isn’t quite over for the summer; as reported by The Courier last week, the city and state are collaborating to repave West Sandusky Street in June, from Western to Glessner avenues.
