Two people were injured in a truck-train collision on U.S. 68 in Hardin County at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday.
Clarence F. Jewett Jr., 57, of Galloway, suffered minor injuries after he failed to yield to a rail crossing signal and his tractor-trailer was struck by a southbound CSX train operated by Jason E. Eiland, 43, of Delaware, and Daniel A Pierce, 30, of Findlay, according to the Findlay post of the State Highway Patrol.
The train pushed the tractor-trailer more than 800 feet. The truck caught fire and damaged the train.
Railroad worker Rachel Jones, 42, of Sidney, who was performing maintenance duties alongside the track, was also injured. Both Jewett and Jones were treated for their injuries at the scene, according to the patrol.
Jewett was cited for failing to yield to activated rail grade signals, according to the patrol.
