The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has hit the $30 million mark in grants.
The philanthropic organization celebrated that milestone amount of money at its annual meeting Wednesday night at the Findlay Country Club.
The foundation has been awarding grants since 1994.
“We are just so grateful,” said Katherine Kreuchauf, foundation president. “This really is a milestone.”
In 2013, the organization awarded 394 grants for a total of $2.2 million, said Patricia Brown, chair of the foundation’s board. The foundation also received $3.7 million in gifts in 2013.
“I can’t imagine how different this community would be if the foundation were not here,” Kreuchauf said. “We’re confident it will all have a tremendous impact.”
