Findlay Airport to host rare World War II plane

Next week, the Findlay Airport will host ‘Diamond Lil,’ a rare B-24 Liberator flown during World War II, which will be available for public tours and rides.

The aircraft, owned by the Commemorative Air Force, an organization that promotes WWII aviation history, will land Monday at noon. Cockpit tours will be available from 2-6 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Tour rates are $5 per person. Children younger than 10 will be admitted free.

A flight will be offered at 4 p.m. Wednesday, and more will be made available if prebooking indicates a need. Rides are $399 when purchased onsite, or $375 when bought online at
