A.R. Charnes named new chair of UF board

The University of Findlay today named A.R. Charnes as the new chairman of its board of trustees.

Charnes  succeeds C. Richard Beckett, a noted veterinarian who served on the board for 13 years.

Charnes, a 1966 graduate with a major in marketing, is retired vice president of marketing for Getty Petroleum Marketing and lives in McCormick, South Carolina.

Also, Brian Young was approved as vice chair; Sue Pirschel, secretary; and Martin Terry, treasurer. Each is a two-year term.

Sierra Hutton was approved as undergraduate student trustee, and Robert Braylock was approved as graduate student trustee, each of which also is a two-year term

These trustees were approved for 2014-2017: James Appold, Pamela Beall, Mark Cassin, Clifford Cook, Craig Crotteau, Robert Fry, Michael Gardner, Kolleen Kirk, James Koehler II, Don Manley and Edward Rosenberry.
