Rowmark, a Findlay maker of plastic sheets for signs, plaques and other uses, plans to add 50 or more employees and construct an additional 65,302-square-foot building.
Construction, on Hamlet Drive just south of Hamlet Protein, and north of Guardian Automotive Products, 2040 Production Drive, should start in August and be finished in spring 2015, said Kurt Ohlrich, chief financial officer.
Rowmark, which employs 136, declined to report specifics about the new jobs, including how many it will hire. Rowmark’s building plans “state that the largest shift may have 50 employees,” the Hancock Regional Planning Commission reported. The agency reported that information to Findlay City Planning Commission, which approved Rowmark’s site plan on Thursday.
The building will be the new headquarters for Rowmark’s engravable sheet division’s operations, warehousing and administration. An existing building on Industrial Drive will be the manufacturing operation for Rowmark’s custom division, known in the thermoforming market as Premier Material Concepts.
