Findlay bicyclist hurt in accident

McCOMB — A Findlay man was injured when his bicycle was struck by a vehicle late Thursday near McComb.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said Roger Fry, 56, was riding his bicycle south on Pleasant Township 235, just south of McComb, at 10:15 p.m. when Peng Chailee, 54, of Carey, who was driving a Honda CR-V south on the road, did not see the bicycle and struck it with the right front corner of her vehicle.
The sheriff’s office said Fry was taken with unknown injuries to Blanchard Valley Hospital by McComb Emergency Medical Service.
Fry was wearing a helmet, and his bicycle had working lights on the front and rear, according to the sheriff’s office. Peng was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance ahead, the sheriff’s office reported.
McComb police and fire departments assisted at the scene.
