FOSTORIA — A Fostoria man was killed and three other people were injured tonight in a fiery collision of two SUVs at the intersection of Hancock County 23 and Washington Township 218, just south of Fostoria.
Richard Bailey, 54, the driver of one sport utility vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The driver of the other SUV, Jody Fruth, 39, of Alvada, and her two passengers, Jordan Ferguson, 9, and Jasmine Ferguson, 1, were injured and taken to Fostoria Community Hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
The accident was reported at 6 p.m.
Fruth was driving a Chevrolet Traverse, and Bailey was driving a Dodge Durango, the sheriff’s office said. The Durango burned after the crash.
By late Saturday, investigators had not determined what directions the two SUVs were going prior to the collision. The crash remained under investigation.
