Kitchen fire damages Findlay house

A kitchen fire damaged a house on the west side of Findlay late Friday night.
Findlay firefighters were called to 1226 W. Sandusky St. at 10:07 p.m. Friday. Sixteen firefighters responded, and it took them about 10 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it appeared to originate at a stove. Firefighters said the blaze was confined to the kitchen.
No injuries were reported. A damage estimate had not been completed Saturday.
The house is owned by Kevin Brown and is being rented to Mario Hernandez, who was home at the time of the fire.
The Red Cross was called to assist the family.
