Fostoria man’s death to be ruled as drowning

Hancock County Coroner Dr. Mark Fox said today that the death of Michael A. Enright, 21, of Fostoria, will be ruled as a drowning.

Enright’s body was found at 7:13 p.m. July 16 at the bottom of the northeastern part of Fostoria’s Reservoir 2, known was Lake Mottram. Water in that area is roughly 12 to 13 feet deep, according to officials.

Enright was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was performed on Enright’s body by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.

Fostoria Police Chief Keith Loreno said witnesses reported Enright was fishing when he fell into the water. One witness attempted to go into the water to help Enright, but could not locate him. First responders were called to the scene at 6:15 p.m.

Enright was fishing alone.

Four Fostoria firefighters used two boats to recover the body, according to interim fire Chief Warren Digby.
