A 26-year-old Toledo woman, Tiesha McQuin, was the female passenger killed in an early Sunday airplane crash about two miles north of Findlay, family members of McQuin said today.
McQuin is survived by a 3-year-old daughter, Mahkayla Sims, “whom she cherished, she loved,” said McQuin’s sister, Tomecia McQuin, of Toledo. McQuin was riding in the plane with pilot Ralf Bronnenmeier, chief executive officer of Grob Systems in Bluffton. Bronnenmeier, 47, also was killed when the plane crashed on Hancock County 18 between Cass Township 215 and Hancock Road 216, about 1:11 a.m. Sunday.
“Tiesha loved airplanes. So it didn’t even surprise me that she was on an airplane,” McQuin’s sister, Tomecia, said. “She loved planes.”
Tomecia described her sister as someone who “always had a smile on her face. … She’s always happy.”
” She just loves life,” Tomecia said. She is a very spontaneous person.”
