Law enforcement holds checkpoint for impaired drivers

Eleven impaired drivers were arrested during a weekend checkpoint in Findlay, law enforcement reported.
Friday night and Saturday morning checkpoints assessed more than 800 vehicles, according to the Findlay post of the State Highway Patrol.
Five motorists were cited for driving while under the influence during a Friday checkpoint near the University of Findlay campus. Troopers checked 668 vehicles.
An additional two drivers were arrested for impaired driving and one for multiple warrants on Saturday near the AAA branch on Tiffin Avenue. Law enforcement checked 132 vehicles.
Four others were arrested for impaired driving outside the checkpoints. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Findlay Police Department assisted.
