4 injured in U.S. 68 collision

Four people were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 68, south of Findlay, about 3:51 p.m. today, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Jessica Koperski, 29, of Perrysburg, one of the drivers, and her three passengers, Luke Roby, 15, Teila Phillips, 27, and William Koperski, 1, all of Bellefontaine, were taken to the hospital by Appleseed Emergency Medical Service and Hanco Emergency Medical Service, according to Deputy Matt Crouch.
Koperski was driving a Pontiac Montana north on U.S. 68, north of Jackson Township 45, and Nicholas Hale, 47, of Lima, was driving a Peterbilt truck north on U.S. 68 behind Koperski, the deputy said. Hale attempted to pass Koperski and they collided when Koperski slowed and attempted to make a left turn into a private drive, the deputy said.
Assisting at the accident scene were Arlington Fire Department and Lowery Towing.
