Several ham products processed and purchased at D&H Meats in Vanlue have been voluntarily recalled, according to a press release from the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
The press release states that smoked ham whole, smoked ham boneless, smoked ham shank and smoked ham rump are all being recalled due to a processing deviation and misbranding.
The products recalled were produced between July 29, 2012, and July 29, 2014, and have the establishment number 102 inside the Ohio mark of inspection. There have been no reports of illness due to the products.
The products were sold through the plant’s store in Vanlue.
The problem was discovered by inspectors during routine verification activity. It was noted that the plant was not properly monitoring the cooling of its ham products.
