UF’s nursing program accredited; enrollment for first classes begins

The University of Findlay will now offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

The program just received accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission, the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Ohio Board of Regents, according to the university.

The program will begin enrolling its first classes, which will be capped at 30 students a year, immediately. The University of Findlay began looking to launch a nursing program back in 2012, after conducting a study to see if it was feasible to start one at the college.

“The university has built a strong reputation for high quality health professions programs and we are excited now to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program to the region,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Darin Fields.
