CONTINENTAL — Fire destroyed a Continental residence early today. There were no injuries.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters were called to 310 W. Rice St. at 12:10 a.m. today on a report of fire in the wall. The caller and all the occupants were able to exit the residence safely.
Responding to the fire was the Continental Fire Department, with aid provided by Oakwood and Kalida fire department.
The house is owned by Seth Weller.
Also responding to the scene was Continental EMS, Putnam County EMS and the Putnam County chapter of the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
