Men arrested for Pandora burglary

PANDORA — Two men from Jackson County were arrested in connection with a Thursday night burglary near Pandora, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The sheriff’s office said Raymond C. Rainer, 33, and Derek Leach, 29, both of Wellston, were spotted stealing several tools from an outbuilding along Putnam County Road 5 near Pandora about 9 p.m. Thursday.
According to the sheriff’s report, the County Road 5 resident who spotted Rainer and Leach then pursued them. The vehicle that the two men were riding in crashed and rolled onto its side, and both men fled on foot, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said both men were arrested around 8 a.m. Friday.
Investigators thought the men might have guns because they found ammunition in their car. Officers from several agencies, including the Putnam and Allen County sheriff’s offices, searched through the night for the suspects.
