It appears the former Golden Corral building, 1843 Tiffin Ave., will be razed and replaced with two smaller restaurants.
One of the replacements would be a Chinese fast-food restaurant, Panda Express. The other restaurant, next door, has not been determined yet. Findlay City Planning Commission approved plans for both buildings today.
A construction time frame has not been set yet, said Vu Le, project manager for Klover Archictects. Panda Express is in the process of buying the site from Golden Corral and it hopes to close the deal by the end of 2017, he said.
Each restaurant would be 2,200 square feet, less than one-fourth the area of the vacant building, 10,256 square feet.
Golden Corral closed in September 2016.
