Kenton woman hurt in Broad Avenue crash

A Kenton woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported around 3 p.m. today on Broad Avenue near River Street, near Rawson Park, according to the Findlay Police Department.

A Honda Accord driven by Brady Shenise, 17, of Findlay, was traveling southbound on Broad Avenue when the car in front of the Accord slowed, police said. Shenise changed lanes to avoid running into the other car, but hit a 2002 Toyota driven by Rita Casper, 53, of Kenton. The impact of the collision then sent Casper’s vehicle into the curbside guard rail on Broad Avenue.

Casper was taken by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital for a precautionary evaluation.

Shenise was cited for failure to yield while changing lanes.

The Findlay Fire Department assisted at the scene.
