A two-car crash on U.S. 224, east of Findlay, sent two women to the hospital Thursday afternoon, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Kaila Bollinger, 26, of Bloomville, the driver of one car, and Beth Wilhelm, 65, of Findlay, a passenger in the second car, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco Ambulance after the 3:45 p.m. crash, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said Bollinger was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt east on U.S. 224 when she rear-ended an eastbound Toyota Avalon driven by Robert Heacock, 66, of Findlay, who was stopped and waiting for another vehicle to turn onto Township Road 246.
Bollinger was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, the sheriff’s office said.
The Washington Township Fire Department, Dick’s Towing and R&A Towing assisted at the crash scene.
