The City of Findlay’s Christmas tree will be lit during a ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday at Dorney Plaza.
The tree, a 25-foot-tall blue spruce, was donated to the city by Larry Cashel and Wanda Frankforther of Findlay.
Mayor Lydia Mihalik will be joined by Santa Claus for the tree-lighting event, which is open to the public.
After the ceremony, Santa will lead children and their families to the Findlay Kiwanis Santa’s House at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 120 W. Sandusky St., for a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Cookies, hot chocolate and horse-drawn wagon rides through downtown Findlay will also be available.
