Lause named chief financial officer at UF

Thomas Lause has been named the University of Findlay’s vice president of business affairs, chief financial officer and treasurer.
Lause, who recently retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. as vice president and treasurer, will begin his new role on Feb. 5.
Lause had a 35-year career at Cooper. Since 2015, he was the company’s chief financial officer and treasurer, with responsibility for overseeing global treasury operations, risk management and tax.
Lause began working for Cooper in 1983 as a plant accountant in the Tire Division, then served in a series of positions in Findlay and Texarkana, Arkansas. From 2002 to 2014 Lause was vice president, finance and global operations controller.
He earned a master of business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Executive Leadership Program.
