Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries about 2:53 p.m. Tuesday when this tractor-trailer smashed into the Lima Avenue/Hancock County 313 overpass on northbound Interstate 75.

The State Highway Patrol said the truck driver, Shellon A. Schoberg, 31, of West Palm Beach, Florida, and a passenger, Latasha Langford, 31, of Atlanta, Georgia, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital by Hanco Ambulance.

The patrol said Schoberg ran off the right side of the road, corrected to the left and struck a semi that was in the passing lane, then traveled off the right side of the road and hit the bridge support column.

Northbound traffic backed up for miles behind the accident.
