Sheriff’s office investigating cab theft

A USA Cab driver was reportedly robbed early Friday morning next to Findlay’s Greenbrier Apartments, 2800 S. Main St.
Lt. Cris Bell of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said the cab driver dropped off a customer at the apartment building at about 4:40 a.m. Friday.
The customer gave the cab driver money for the ride. While the cab driver was making change, the customer grabbed a nearby full bag of money and ran south with it toward Goldenrod Lane, Bell said.
The customer was described as a skinny white man with a five o’clock shadow, wearing light-colored sweatpants and a dark hoodie.
The Findlay Police Department was called to help search for the man with a K9 unit, but did not discover him.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the sheriff’s office at 419-422-2424.
