A kitchen fire forced two residents from a Brookview Court home Tuesday night, the Findlay Fire Department reported.
Firefighters were called to 1012 Brookview Court at 6 p.m. when a neighbor reported seeing flames from the kitchen of the house. Both residents were able to safely exit the residence and were not injured, according to the fire department.
Fifteen firefighters and five vehicles responded to the fire and remained on the scene until 8:30 p.m.
The fire was contained to the kitchen and attic. Smoke damage was reported throughout the house. The local American Red Cross chapter is providing temporary lodging for the residents.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The house is owned by Donald and Sharon Buckles, according to the Hancock County Auditor’s website.
