Retired Upper Sandusky K9 dies

The Upper Sandusky Police Department said that its retired K9, Hunter, died early Tuesday morning after a long battle with cancer.

Hunter retired from the department on June 27. He joined the department in October 2010, according to Upper Sandusky police, and patrolled with his handler, Officer Andrew Silcox.

Upper Sandusky police said that Hunter had assisted with more than 800 illegal drug investigations throughout Wyandot County during his career.
