A special prosecutor has been named to investigate possible criminal offenses by Hilty Home in Pandora in connection with the January death of a woman who lived there.
According to the Lima News, Debra Wehrle, a senior assistant attorney general with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, has been named to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Phyllis Campbell, 76.
Campbell was found dead on Jan. 7 outside the nursing home. A state report issued later that month was highly critical of the nursing home.
Putnam County Prosecutor Gary Lammers filed a request April 16 to have a special prosecutor assigned to the case.
