UPDATED: Flood warning for Eagle Creek in Findlay; Blanchard River rising slowly

The Blanchard River at Findlay and Ottawa continues to rise after rain fell again on Sunday and this morning.

The Blanchard River at Findlay was at 9.13 feet as of 3 p.m. today. However, the gauge also appears to have not moved from that reading since noon today, and had jumped up to 9 feet following a period early this morning of being stuck at 6.8 feet.

At Ottawa, the river was at 19.44 feet at 3:30 p.m. today, below action stage

The river was projected to reach 21 feet at Ottawa Wednesday morning; a flood warning had been issued for the Blanchard River at Ottawa by the weather service but has since been cancelled.

However, flood warning has been issued for Eagle Creek in Findlay through this evening as the river had risen to 9.46 feet as of 4 p.m. It was expected to crest at 9.3 feet this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Nine feet is minor flood stage.

The creek is not expected to reach moderate flood stage, which is 10 feet, the National Weather Service reported.
