The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for western Hardin County until 6:15 p.m., including for Ada, Dunkirk, Dola, Alger and Kenton.
Thunderstorms moving through through Hardin County have dropped 1 to 2 inches of rain recently, which may cause area streams and creeks to rapidly rise and low-lying areas to flood.
Additionally, a flash flood watch remains in for Allen, Putnam and Hardin counties through midnight.
The weather service says it expects numerous showers and thunderstorms to develop between U.S. 24 and 30 this afternoon. These showers and storms may produce heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches in a short period of time, which could lead to localized flash flooding threats.
