UPDATE: Fostorian critically injured in car-motorcycle crash

FOSTORIA A Fostoria motorcyclist was critically injured Friday afternoon when he collided with a Cadillac at the intersection of Hancock County 216 and Hancock County 23, south of Fostoria.

Richard Peace, 38, was taken by Life Flight medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo in critical condition, the Hancock County Sheriffs Office reported.

Peace was driving a 1972 Harley-Davidson north on County Road 23, the sheriffs office said, and Beth May, 35, of Arcadia, was eastbound on County 216 in a 2003 Cadillac Deville at about 3:45 p.m.

May stopped at a stop sign at the intersection, but didnt see Peace and drove into the intersection, the sheriffs office said. The motorcycle hit the passenger side of the car.

The crash remained under investigation Friday night and no citations had been issued.

Assisting at the accident scene were Hanco Ambulance and the Washington Township Fire Department.
