Flood warning issued for Putnam, Henry counties

A flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service that includes western Putnam and southern Henry counties until 9:30 a.m.

Thunderstorms that moved through the area this morning may have dropped between 2 and 4 inches of rain overnight across the warned area, according to the weather service. Runoff may cause a rapid rise in area creeks and streams.

Included in the warning are Delphos, Kalida, Continental, Holgate, Glandorf, Ottoville, Hamler, Fort Jennings, Dupont, Cloverdale, and Miller City. The warning covers the western end of the Blanchard River between Ottawa and the Auglaize River, as well as the Auglaize River in western Putnam and Allen counties.
