The Ohio Northern University observatory will be open to the public from 9-11 p.m. Friday to observe “Cassini’s final plunge into Saturn.”
Cassini-Huygens planetary orbiter and probe departed on its mission to Saturn on Oct. 15, 1997. Twenty years later it is about to end its mission in spectacular fashion by burning up in Saturn’s atmosphere. Although Cassini will not be visible in the observatory’s telescopes, Saturn will be along with its rings and moons.
