Girl Scouts will begin taking orders for their annual cookie sale Jan. 10.
There are six varieties offered: Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos and Savannah Smiles. The cookies are made by Little Brownie Bakers and are $4 a box.
Girls participating in the Girl Scout cookie program develop life-long skills that increase their self-confidence. They are presented opportunities to learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Additionally, girls help earn their own way for activities and service projects they choose to do for the year. All Girl Scout cookie proceeds stay in the community.
Girls wishing to join Girl Scouts are welcome and can also participate in the cookie program. For information about joining, visit www.girlscoutsofwesternohio.org.
