United Way of Hancock County and Ohio Benefit Bank will conduct two final training sessions for individuals who would like to volunteer to become tax counselors and complete tax returns for free for low- to moderate-income families in Hancock County.
The first training will be held in two parts at Owens Community College, 3200 Bright Road, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 16 and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 17. Registration may be made online at http://january16-17taxtraining.whindo.com
The second training will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 18 at Brown Mackie College, 1700 Fostoria Ave. Registration may be made at http://findlaytaxtraingjan18.whindo.com.
All trainees must be 18 or over, have keyboard experience and an email account. Continuing education credit is available. Registration is required for both trainings.
Tax preparation clinics will be scheduled between Jan. 1 and April 15.
